Where's your stimulus check going ?

I guess I am one of the unlucky ones that didn't get any of my money back, just thousands of dollars more debt for the ones that get some of my money and created more debt, I'll be paying interest on. :(

Unfortunately mine and my wifes is going into storage for the last part of my retirement plan. Our house and vehicles are paid for but my whole house air conditioner/furnace is 34 years old and still running, but it's days are numbered so this money is going towards replacing it.
I had delusions of buying a Sig 210 or an STI 2011/ 1911 with mine as a down payment, but in reality, what we are going to use it for, is a far better choice in the long run.
That system is going to cost a lot. 10k or so.
I want to be able to afford to buy reloading supplies for the guns I have now after I retire so I'm looking at this from a different perspective.

I already know what I can do with a high end pistol, (Wilson Combat my friend has) but I wanted my own. Oh well, life sucks then we die.

I paid too much federal tax last year to get free money this year. (in other words my adjusted gross income was too high to meet the qualifications )

Luckily for us we didn’t file 2019 yet or we wouldn’t get squat. Since we didn’t file they used AGI for 2018 which squeezed us in under the qualified amount by $17

Most of mine and my wife's is going to pay for a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon puppy that I put a $200 down payment on last Feb. I have to drive about 1000 miles 1 way to pick him up in about 1 week. We live in South Carolina and because we are both on Social Security ( which is NOT taxed) the check will not raise our low taxes. The balance was spent on a 12 X 20 covered deck. So it is gone before we got the direct deposit.

Cool, I hope you enjoy your new puppy. My wife and I have gotten involved with retired racing greyhounds in our retirement days. They keep us busy during the "stay at home"mandates from our state government.

Ours was going to savings until we had an infestation of termites show up. Thankfully no damage but we chose to have a professional put out the baits and traps around the house. Ate up the stimulus money, but I threw it in my local economy and workers...

After thinking about this, I’ve come to realize I used some of my own money given to back to me by an infestation of cockroaches in Washington to control an infestation of termites in Texas.

Ironic...

In an effort to stimulate the economy, I purchased a Glock 40 MOS, Holosun 507c, Hornady dies and reloading components. Thinking I want to kill a deer this fall with the 10mm. FWIW, all my bills and taxes are paid and there are funds in the savings account. We live frugally most of the time.

Thankfully, my wife and I filed jointly this year, and because I only received a partial bonus due to weak business unit performance in a stale market last year, I slipped under the cap by a couple thousand. I bought another Bushnell XRS II, then split the remainder into my son’s ESA and my IRA.

I love the idea of stimulating the economy with these payments - a true capitalist sentiment if there ever was one - as money is sure to burn a hole in the recipient’s pocket if you light it on fire before injecting it. But I couldn’t help myself but try to capitalize on the macro market opportunity rather than simply in consumer goods - we finally had a break in the record high markets to bring a bit better clarity to investing choices. I wasn’t shorting in a rather bullish market, but I wound up holding water for a lot longer than I would have liked. So with prices depressed, we’re back in business, which should buoy our economy back to the “new normal” faster.

Going to use it toward buying a new lawn tractor soon. Will have to do some research to find one made in America. I try to buy USA made things and I am committed to taking my time before buying something when ever possible to avoid China made crap.

Chester here is still a puppy at 8 years old. Actually, just beginning to calm down into adulthood. The WPG is a wonderful hunter. Great instincts and an insatiable drive to hunt. Give yours some meaningful work and you won't be disappointed. That is, if you can keep up with him.

Sent some of the stimulus to Glock for a new G30 Gen 4.

The rest was spent on components to build a new budget gaming 'puter with my son. He toasted his old one, and this is something fun to do while stuck in quarantine.
