Which 1911?

Hey guys, I'm lookin for a real nice 1911 mainly just for target and maybe a tiny bit for looks lol...Gotta be a stainless with 5" barrel...I'm lookin at the Smith-Wessons and Springfields, but would be open to others. I'd like to keep 'er under 8-900. Thanks!

I had the Pointman in 10mm. Is was a VERY well made piece. Tight and accurate. Very well made and has gotten a lot of good reviews.

i would recommend a sa 1911 check out the loaded ss models. plus you will get the loaded coupon which will get you great deals on mags and accessories.

I just bought a Dan Wesson Classic Bobtail. I've never seen a slide fit that nice. With the barrel out the slide can be moved easily by hand but if you tip it barrel end straight down it will not slide off. It's amazing quality for the price.

Springfield will save you a few dollars and is a RELIABLE gun.

I like springfield, but wouldn't sneeze at a Colt or Dan Wesson, either.

My preferance is for Colt's, with Springfield a close second.
The Dan Wesson's look nice, but I have no personal experience with them so I cannot comment.

A Springfield Loaded in 9mm would make you a very good target gun. Nice gun, accurate, cheap ammo.
