You guys gotta STOP now! I have already spent my gun budget for the rest of the year, and I can't even go there. (I may have to sell my black horse, if this keeps up!)

Man, I OWN a 77/22 and I am starting to drool.

Either choice will be a good choice, but from experience I would have to put the CZ in the better accuracy department. But they are very similar to each other in balance, trigger pull and quality. I personally prefer the looks of the Mauser action that Ruger copied.

The one BIG difference between the two are aftermarket parts, you can get a stock and trigger for the CZ, and a brand new weaver scope rail that rocks.
The Ruger you can do all that and THEN you can change it to whichever of the four rimfire calibers the 77/22 is available in by only changing the barrel, trigger guard, and magazine.

That there is mighty pretty and at a great price, how's the trigger on it mine is set at about 2lbs maybe a little less maybe a little more will have to check and make sure.

Shawnee,
I have the Ruger with lami stock and absolutely love it! With the right (30gr)ammo it'll easily do a half in @ 100. But I obviously shoot via a bench. As a walk around gun it's heavy! I'm inclined to think any of the guns mentioned with lami stocks are going to be heavy.

here are the two version by marlin , done in semi auto, for 99m2, and for 922-m, I believe are the model numbers;

this is the 922-m, very much styled like the marlin camp carbines, from what i understand , they are made on the same platform, so they are very overbuilt.

I can't find pics of the 99-m2, but imagine it being as overbuilt as the 99m2,
but also looking very much like a m1 carbine.

I have seen the 922m and have a 99m1 but it is 22LR and the 989m2 is also a 22LR have never seen or even heard of one in a 22 mag not saying there isn't just have never seen or heard of one if there is one I would love to have it:D

Kenny.

yep , they are out there, but they are double tough to find.
collector's Firearms in Houston, from time to time, has 1 or both. but you will pay for them, especially if the carbine looking one has all the correct pieces there to the rear site, which usually get knocked off and lost.

looka that mag in the pic, way longer ( or wider) for a 22lr round, this mag is easily seen
as a 22 mag round mag.

Bought a cheap old Savage model 93 in left hand about 6 months ago. That is a very good shooting rifle: It makes 1.25" three shot groups at 100 yards with the right ammo. The Accu-Trigger is superb.

Already killed a lot of wild hogs with that gun. Did I mention that is is cheap?

gunlover......My trigger feels like it is around 3.5 pounds but I am guessing. I am not sure if the previous owner worked on it. Lots of great looking .22 WMRs here..........:D .... The .22 WMR is probably my favorite round!!! Post more photos guys!!!
