I am considering three different .223 bolt actions for just shooting at the range. How's about some opinions?

1.) Savage 10FP with the Choate Stock, Accutrigger $689 new but I can get it lower.

2.) Tikka T3 Varmint is $595 used and I can also get this lower. Great condition, very smooth trigger.

3.) CZ452 Varmint laminate used but only a few rounds fired, has set trigger. $535 and again I can get the price lowered.

All are within my price range and I like each of them. So how's about some help??

CZ 452 is 22LR. You may be thinking about the 547.

T3 would be my choice, but a lot depends upon how the rifle fits and works for you individually. And why did someone want to sell it?

Can't really go wrong with any of these options. Just a matter of what you like the most.

I have the savage. I would get the regular stock and then put a B&C Medalist on that baby. I love mine. I had to get used to the accu-trigger but overall very nice gun and not alot of money.

I've got a Savage 12 in 223 with a 1-7 barrel. Loves to shoot Black Hills 77g @ 500 yards. And it irritates the crap out of the mainstream gun owners, who always have some feature of their gun that they love, but doesn't have anything to do with downrange performance.

My Savage 12VLP .223 outshoots almost every gun at my local range. Now that I have found the handload it loves best, all I have to do is my part and I get sub-MOA groups at 100 & 200 yds. all day. Best rifle out of the box you can buy.

The CZ line offers a great value if you like the walnut versions. I have one of the Lux models of the 527 and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Great accuracy, light to carry, strong and well made, and doesn't seem to lose accuracy as it heats up.

My buddy shoots a 204 Ruger in a Savage left handed bolt rifle. It is a tack driver. The only complaint I have about that rifle is that the rounds don't seem to like the magazine much. He spends a lot of time making sure they are seated, and often gets a misfeed, something I have never experienced with my CZ with the detachable box mag.

The accutriger on the Savage is excellent, and I think I might like it better than the CZ trigger other than the set trigger feature.

Good luck in your choice.

CZ 527 Kevlar (the only CZ available in 1:9 twist)

Savage 12BVSS (Discontinued model but still available)

How about a REM 700 SPS.
I just bought one at Dick's Sporting Goods last week.
Has a Matte finish, a dark green synthetic stock (Dicks exclusive), a heavy barrel, and the new Remington trigger system.
Had a 4 x 12 scope (Marked with a R).
All this for 469.00 after 30.00 rebate.
Shoots very good just like any Remington 700.
