yup, for real. Too many guns. Like some of the posts above the MkII is a good shooting gun but it is heavfier than the HS and I have never liked its looks. So i guess I am leaning toward the HS. Going to take them both to the range and see if either talks to me, it's been a while.

Hi Standard. Rugers are much easier to repalce.

the model 41 does look great. Carl may have a point the ruger has great sights but is bulky, hard to clear a jamb and probably the most awful takedown of any modern gun. the HS is lighter, easy to clear and not as clugy but the sights are primitive.

Sights are easy to change. The HS is worth the price of a new set of sights if that's the only stumbling block.
