I like the old S&W 629. I got mine when they were very hard to get. In fact, after my name had been on the list for ages, the gun dealer made me leave it in his showcase for a week so other people could see it and drool over it. When I came in to get it, a small crowd formed around me and I felt like a celebrity.
I've never shot the damn thing, but it sure is beautiful! I even got S&W to send me a pair of smooth grips because I'd had a nickel 29 that tore my hand up with the cheese grater grips. The gun has recessed chambers, pinned barrel, chromed hammer and trigger. Oh, and the action is like glass!
