Ah!
I thought so.
When I was 12-13, I killed jack rabbits in our wheat fields with a .22 and open sights at 150-200+ yards.
You can do quite well on paper and plates out to 150 with a 4x, 2-7X, or 3-9x scope, and hold-over using the cross-hairs.
No knobs to coon-finger, or dials to twitch.
Just put the cross-hairs on it, hold over a little, and shoot the son of a --- AH, never mind.
At 24X magnification, you will need a bi-pod, sandbags, or tree to lean on to cancel your heart beat and wobbles times 24X.
Then you will be steady enough to hold solid on a 33 gal. garbage can lid, part of the time!!
After you eventually find it through the small field of vision on that powerful a scope.
Thats my story, and I'm sticking too it!
150 yards divided by 24X magnification = 6.29 apparent yards = 18 apparent feet.
You can spit a watermelon seed or flip a pebble flipper that far or more, without a scope!
