STI Trojan in 9mm. The break (4lbs.) is so crisp and clean it surprises you, but that's one of the things STI is known for. I own a number of production hanguns (Ruger, Tangfolio, Beretta, CZ, Taurus, and Remington Rand) and have been able to shoot quite a few rounds with others (Kimbers, Glocks, and Colts) and none compare to STI.

My Para Ordnance Lightweight LTC. A Commander sized 1911 in 9mm with a trigger that breaks like glass at 4# and absolutely no creep. It has a match grade barrel and is accurate as the dickens and a hoot to shoot.

it would seem to me that to answer the question ,someone would have to ,at least ,try all triggers.and to be sure ,several triggers of each. jwr

Witness Elite Match, none finer in the price range I will bet my sock's on it, I out shoot guys with thier fine $2,000 1911's, if you don't believe me come down to the Egan police range in Mpls. or the Del Tone range in St.Cloud Mn.
See you there, bring your best, you will need it!

Other than any number of 9mm 1911 models, I would have to say that the M&P 9 Pro Series has the best trigger pull, feel and reset. If you ever have the chance, dry fire one at your nearest gun dealer... You will see what the Smith & Wesson Performance Center guys can do for competition shooters.

Just take a look at what Massad Ayoob has to say about the M&P 9 Pro Series. Even at his age, he beat his all time IDPA score the first time he shot one.

M&P Flames Start Here:

Of those listed, I have shot the CZ75b, Glock 19, Glock 17, Beretta 92fs, & walther P99.

In order of ease of accurate fire I would list them as follows:
CZ75B
Glock 17 with 3 pound connector
Walther P99
Beretta 92fs with factory reduced power hammer spring
Glock 19 with 5 pound connector

My pick of 'better' guns that I have tried would include:
STI Trojan
STI Edge
Bul (Charles Daly) M5
CZ 75 SP01 Shadow

My list of worse guns I have tried includes:
Springfield loaded
Tanfoglio XL2 (EAA Witness)
Sig P226
HS2000 (Springfield XD)
Norinco 1911
Colt 1911
USPf
Hi Power

On a value for money basis for a range gun I would pick the CZ 75 SP01 Shadow.

What kind of poll choices are those? Most listed have horrendously poor triggers or are acceptable at the most in stock form. SIG 210 is my choice.

Walther P99, then Sig 226, both in 9mm

I have only had the Beretta 92 on your list, although my Beretta 92FS never had a failure of any kind, I traded it for a Sig 226 in 9mm because, I liked the trigger on the sig much better, and the Sig is much more accurate for me.

IMO the Walther P99 (got 2) is the best 9mm pistol on the planet, great trigger, superior accuracy and reliability. The Sig 226/229 9mm also has a awsome trigger.

Any properly tuned and fitted 9mm. M1911. For out of the box performance, the trigger on my Browning Hi-Power Mk. III. And thats with the magazine disconnector still in place.
