Which has the Best Trigger - Ruger SR9 or M&P 9 ?

Yes the Walther PPQ has great ergonomics, light recoil, and a fantastic short and light trigger but with NO manual safety, and that kills it for me. I'd love to have one but with little kids in the house I just don't feel comfortable having one without a true safety. And IMO their little trigger blade safety is nowhere near as good either. They put thumb safeties on their little 22 and 380 but not on this beast, unbelievable.

Not to lecture but little kids shouldn't be getting anywhere near a trigger, safety, or anything of the like. Shouldn't really be a factor in that regard. Hoping a kid can't figure out a manual safety is a disaster waiting to happen. Not sure if that's what you were referring to, but just throwing that out there.

The vp9, ppq and p320 are much better than either of the two you mentioned (in regards to the trigger) and would easily be chosen if the trigger pull is a major selling point.

Based on the 2 you've selected, I would go with the M&P and order the Apex parts that would provide the type of trigger pull you like. With a manual safety the FSS package is similar to a 1911 style SA trigger.

The guns are always in a safe when the kids are around, I am just the very cautious kind and simply prefer handguns with a thumb safety, especially ones like the PPQ with such a light trigger. To me a PPQ without a thumb safety is akin to a SA Colt or Kimber cocked without a safety, you don't see them without one.

I think I can be very happy with an SR9 in stock configuration and refuse to spend more money to upgrade the trigger on the M&P. Thanks for your concern.
