I am going to buy a Browning Buckmark!

However, the more I read, see and study the various sub-models (Camper, Contour, Hunter, etc.) the more confused I get.

I will shoot paper, plink and kill an occasional rodent or other garden pest.

I would like to be able to later add after market items, if necessary.

Want decent sights out the door. Budget is a consideration.

Am I going to be pleased with the Camper? Should I step up to a Contour model? Hunter?

Question after question.....

Help please...................

Get a URX model. I love that grip. You can get it in the camper model with a round bull barrel or with a slab side barrel. I have both models. They are both excellent shooters.

Get the URX Practical model. It will do everything. Big fiber front sight. Any thing you want to know can be found on RFC website. Polish the sear and do the spring flip and you won't think it is the same pistol. I put an Ultradot on mine and it is a tack driver. Doesn't like standard vel. ammo so I shoot the Blazer HV stuff with no problems. Federal Champion also works very well.

I don't like finger grooves; I have the Camper with the round bull barrel. The standard sights work well for me. You can add a rail for optics later if you want.

Whatever you end up getting I would highly recommend also getting the Tactical Solutions rear sight / weaver rail. The rear sight base the pistol comes with it is plastic and cracks pretty easily if you slightly over-tighten the screw when reassembling it.

Otherwise, I'd get a URX model, too. I have the URX Camper in stainless with the fiber optic front sight. Great pistol and hope to get another soon.

Definitely beware of the Camper's plastic sight base. I spent a good bit of money (@$75) upgrading my Camper's sights after my rear sight base cracked. It's otherwise been a fantastic gun, but I think the Camper's stock plastic rear sight base and front sight are major detractors. If quality sights are important to you, the Standard URX model might be a better deal for you overall. Also, don't forget the Micro models like the one in IMTHDUKE's pic. I have one of those, too, and I really like the shorter barrel for its handiness.
