I have no experience with the Hornady offering. This is what I used to get a few fox over the years. Performed perfectly. YMMV.

Was hoping someone with experience with the Bee bullet would chime in ... I understand the hollow point concern but it only doubled in size the Hornady Hornet SP exploded like a ballistic tip varmint bullets . If people would look at all the post the 2 bullets in question the HSP has a very thin jacket similar to the pics of a VMax . The Bee has a taper jacket from thin in the front to 2 times as thick as the HSP in the back . Plus in a previous post I tried a few on a old hot water heater the Bee bullet made a dime size exit easily stitched up . The Hornady Hornet SP exploded leaving about a 10" splatter of dents in the HW heater which would be a not salvageable hide if say the shoulder was hit . But appreciate the help

But you're firing lead balls at much lower velocities than a 22 WMR, and they do far less damage than an expanding bullet at higher velocity.

I've read this entire thread and have not seen why a plain lead bullet isn't the best answer. Even if he had to buy a box how would that not be cheaper than a huge taxidermy repair cost. Heck if it's a standard 55g 224 bullet I'm sure a handful would be mailed with a pif or Christmas card.

Yes but multiple holes at 1 squeeze of the trigger so 2 (3/16" hole) or 6 (1/8 to 3/16" holes) taking in account for spread .either way lotta stitching

Usually it’s harder for the Hunter to find and kill a bobcat than it is for the taxidermist to stitch. Use the Bee bullet and go kill one
I agree on that . But I found the best way take a 450BM out deer hunting & a cat will jump on a log & scratch look back at ya twitch his lil tail & then just take his good ole time walking away ...like he knew he had 2 days before the season came in .
