Got some MB 124 rn a while back to reload for my p99 and the seating depth was 1.075.... The worked OK with 4.1 w231 but they were not as accurate as the factory loads.

My lc9 had better groups using the bullet at 1.14 oal. I'm trying to get a bullet to seat at about 1.14 in my p99. Can anyone recommend a different bullet or vendor I might try ?

Not sure about the powder charge, but what Kansas says about lengthening the col to 1.15 - 1.125 should help. Round nosed bullets tend to be able to seat a little longer then the hollow point bullets. (Has to do with the bullet shape) If you still have some of the factory loads I would measure a couple of them and see what their col is running. I have seated some round nosed bullets as much as 1.135 with good results. Then again maybe your gun just don't like that bullet.

This info is what I have found that works the best for my 3rd Gen. P-99 in 9mm. It is NOT a suggestion for you to use it. Use at your own risk.

That said (unfortunately because nowadays we have to C.Y.A.) I've worked up about 41 recipes for my P-99 and altho I was wanting to use a heavier bullet (recoil purposes - I shoot IDPA and like a heavier bullet) the BEST and I mean really damn good load that I worked up is 115 plated (Xtreme) bullet, 4.2 of Titegroup and 1.160 o.a.l. It holds about a 1 1/2" to 1 3/4" pattern. I just can't ask for better, as much as I would like to. WW Box wasn't even close.

Again, take that info for what it's worth and work up your own loads as you see fit. I am not making any recommendations.

Now, I need to continue to find as good a load with 147 gr. bullets. I have been trying to find as good of a recipe using lead bullets but, no luck yet. But experimentating is a bunch of fun!! :D

Be safe but definitely have fun.

P99s in both 9mm and .40 seem to do better with lighter bullets for consistent accuracy. If you can't find a load your P99 likes using the components you already have, try working up loads with 115 gr
