Which cartridge would you select in these calibers?

7.62 - 7.62x39
.284 - 7mm-08
6.5 - 6.5 Grendel
6mm - .243
.224 - .223

Those are my current choices. You can see several of them are geared toward inexpensive ammo. ;)

7.62 - .300 blackout/whisper (is there a better cartridge for subsonic use in rifles that isn't obscure?)
7mm - pass, I would much rather have a .277, probably .270 Win because it's what Grandpa used
6.5 - there's dozens to choose from and most of them good. I did pick Grendel because it's "enough" and not "more than I need." I'd also choose Creedmoor because I can use small primers (avail. lead free), but then I'd be on a bandwagon
6mm - Creedmoor because it uses small primers and is suitable for the heavy-for-caliber bullets needed to make this caliber best for anything but varmints and precision match
5.56 - valkyrie, the .220 swift could be cool, but I'd pass on the large primer issue

Not intended to be a best ever type list, just what I would like to receive for Christmas.

.224 - 224 Valkyrie (20"-22" AR upper for use slinging mag length 80gr and 88gr ELDs out to 1k)

.243 - 6mm Creedmoor (long range laser beam with heavies, might be my next RPR barrel)

.264 - 6.5 Creedmoor (already have two that I use for hunting and LR, wouldn't turn down another, especially if it was a Tikka CTR or an AR10 with a nice barrel)

.284 - 7mm SAUM (lightweight-ish ~20" threaded barrel to run suppressed as a dedicated elk smacker)

.308 - .308 Winny (16" bolt, or maybe an AR-10)

.429 - .44 mag ( twisted fast, Ruger 77/44, to be used for slinging suppressed heavies on the cheap)

.452 - .450 BM (same use as the .44 but available turnkey and much cheaper from Ruger in the American Ranch rifle)

I kept my list within the calibers of the OP. Surprised all you all would skip the .22 LR.

List for a well rounded gunsafe:
7.62mm = 7.62x39 - close to intermediate hunting, home defense
7mm = 7mm Rem Mag - larger game and long range
6.5mm = 6.5x284 Norma - medium to large game and long range
6mm = 243 Win - varmints and long range
5.56mm = .22 LR. - varmints, pests, small game, plinking

The cartridges that interest me solely:
7.62mm = .308 Win or 7.62x39
7mm = .280 Ackley Improved or 6.8 SPC II
6.5mm = 6.5x284 Norma
6mm = .243 Win
5.56mm = .22 LR or 5.56/.223

The first list was what I though to be the most well rounded, or in other words, the choices that complement each other for various tasks. The second list are the cartridges that interest me the most in the particular caliber.
