A Union Switch and Signal M1911, in perfect shape.
A Bersa Thunder .380, well-worn but in perfect working order.
A smooth, accurate, perfect-condition hex-receiver M91/30 (and
REAL Mosin stripper clips).
A Kel-Tec SU-16C in black, with an EOTech.
A Mossberg Maverick 88 with an 18.5" barrel, and side saddle.
Basically, I'd have the M1911 and Mosin for collecting/ nostalgic reasons (even though they're not a historically matching pair), the Bersa for CCW, the SU-16C for a fun sport utility rifle, and the Maverick as a no-nonsense home defense shotgun.
In case hunting was ever required, the Mosin and/or the Maverick would do in a pinch. For teaching new shooters, the Kel-Tec recoils gently enough, as does the Bersa (new shooters seem to love the Bersa far more than any other gun I own, anyway
). The M1911 could make a dandy night-stand gun.
All are reliable, easy-to-maintain designs that have been proven over several decades. Ammunition is fairly easy to find, and cheap for the rifles.
Lastly, I like all of them. Only reason that the US&S M1911 is mentioned is that
nobody makes them like that anymore... and so many could.
