Which gun makes you feel like you own perfection?

My Glock. Duh!

Since someone already (quickly) beat me to the "Glock, duh" response, I had thus far refrained from posting in this thread.

But, I guess I'd say that none of my guns meet my definition of perfection. I'd probably change something about every one of them, if I could. For example:

Glock (I've owned a 22, 37, 26, and 27): Perfect in the reliability category. Magazine springs in the 37 are ridiculously heavy, and the factory sights on all models are rather cheap. Still, the Glock comes very close to my definition of perfection.

S&W M&P 15T: I love this gun. It shoots great, has a great factory trigger, has given me 100% flawless performance, and does everything I'd want a duty-based AR-15 to do for me. BUT, I hate cleaning this gun just as much as I hate cleaning EVERY AR-15. Design an easy to clean AR-15, and I might call it perfect.

M48 Mauser: Okay, this one isn't the prettiest girl at the dance, and hasn't won any benchrest competitions. But, for what it cost me to own one, and the performace I've seen from my Mauser, this gun is darn near perfect. In truth, the stock, sights, and barrel aren't the fanciest things on the market, and I could easily find an off-the-shelf gun that could out shoot my rifle. But, I got this gun for less than $100 in new condition, and it'll shoot 1-inch groups if I do my part. For a military-based rifle from the past, this is bordering on perfection.

Haven't shot a 9mm I like more than my Glock 17 and 19. They fit my hands perfectly, are very accurate and I love the consistent trigger pull. Their reliability doesn't even need mentioning I think... Perfect handgun for me.

:D

As far as rifles go (again for me) my DlaskArms AR15 in 5.56x45 with 14.5" barrel is close to perfect for me. Handles very nicely and has the all controls (safety, cocking handle, ect.) in the right place. Accuracy is outstanding and I haven't had a single malfunction for over 2000 rounds, with only about 200 rounds that were NOT steel cased russian ammo...

My glocks of course! Which one? I don't know they are all perfect.

The M1 Garand rifle is one of the nicest looking weapons ever made. It was designed when asthetics were at least a part of engineering.

Lugers are ok, but Garands, kick a$$ on lugers.

While I like M1911s, they are often referred to as "the beast". I don't think so, but they are quite a bit larger than Lugers.

Shotgun-My cut-down, homemade M-12 house/slug deer gun...20" barrel, 13" LOP with the Pachmayer red line pad, reflex sight and that one and only M-12 action...Oh yeah!

Rifle-My FN mauser in .257 A.I. A one-hole shooter with a 21" featherweight barrel and 3-9X50.

Pistol-Is my Ruger MKII 10" bull stainless with a Williams hooded front firesight and peep rear, and a self-storing folding bipod I made on my CNC mill...It has taken 'chucks at 130 yards.

I would like to own what I consider perfection, (and if I hot the Powerball, I just might) - a Fabbri shotgun. They make every single part in house, even the screws - all on state of the art CNC machines. No gun leaves the factory if it isn't absolutely perfect. There is a cost for that perfection................

RA XCR

Pefection of the FAL, AR, and AK all spliced in to one rifle.

That rifle does spark my interest, as I especially like a side charging handle. The conventional AR charging handle feels so awkward to me. The only thing I don't think I'll like is that skinny folding stock they put on those XCR rifles. Does it provide a comfortable cheek weld? If not do you know if it can be replaced with a standard m4 collapsible stock?

IIRC it is a standard Ace stock, so they make a riser for it, which is helpful for a proper cheek weld when using optics. I'm sure you could replace it with a AR style collapsible stock (would likely require the use of an adapter), but this one is more sturdy and has the added benefit of folding, so I see no reason to replace it.

:)

Lovely

This one just came back to me from Heirloom Precision. I shot her for the first time this evening. I'm not sure if there is really any such thing as "perfection" in anything, but this is close enough for me. :)

Not a good photo but the 1911 is still the standard by which all others are measured...
