OK guys here is a tough question, and subjective as well. I am looking at a new gun purchase but need to give up one of two guns I own in order to do it. Please tell me either which one you would keep or which one you would sell off and why. Choices are as follows.......

Kimber Pro CDP

or

Springfield "loaded" Champion

if you really like them both , I would keep them and save up more $$$
Once they are gone its hard to replace and getting your money back can be tuff. Its sad to kick yourself about selling a gun you wish you still had.
Do not sell unless you have no choice !!

It's really none of my business, but since you are asking for opinions, I'll ask you this: what has caught your attention so strongly that you'd consider selling either of these pistols?

An Ed Brown Kobra Carry. My wife thinks I have more than enough guns as it is, and on one hand she is right. I really don't get to go shoot as often as I might like and so some of them are just taking up space. I have bought a new gun or two lately so when I approached her with this one she reluctantly agreed but that is when she suggested "thinning the herd", so to speak.

Okay, I see your point. Well, my answer probably isn't going to make things any easier for you! Like you, I have more guns than time to shoot. I've come to the point where when I do make another purchase it will be for one reason only: to obtain something of really high quality. My advice (response would be a better word, really) would be to discuss having a custom 1911 made for you. You could talk to Ed Brown if you like his work. Or, one of many other quality smiths. Be prepared to wait and spend more than for an off-the-rack gun. But, in the end you'll have something really nice that you'll always cherish. Keep ONE of your current pistols for shooting, CCW or whatever. Sell the other and take a hard look at the rest of your collection. Prune out what is only mediocre and get yourself something for the ages!

Keep the one you shoot the best.

A friend of mine just got a Loaded Springfield of one type or the other, can't remember off hand.

We took it out and I put seven shots through one hole about the size of a silver dollar in about 7 seconds at 30 feet.

I don't know what it is, but out of all the 1911's I have shot, I like the Kimbers the least. I shoot them ok but I just don't like them. Wish I could figure out why.
