After I asked you guys about a year ago whether I should buy the originally imported Jericho 941 (with the =Jericho 941= engraved on the front-left part of the frame), I have purchased over 13 different guns, all of them ARs or Hunting rifles.

Since the Jericho was my first gun, I'm having a tough time making this decision. I've been carrying it for the past 1+ year, and have had to use it in an unfortunate attempted robbery incident at a friend's house (fired a "warning shot" about a foot to his left; thankfully I've been shooting since I was 5 and am a good shot...who could imagine the amount of questioning I'd have to go through had I shot to kill?). It's amazingly accurate, and after 5,000 rounds has not had a single FTF or FTE or any other type of malfunction.

I just bought a Gen 4 Glock 19, and the time has come for me to make the decision of Do I keep my Jericho, or use the much lighter Glock 19 and sell my very first handgun? If I got rid of the Jericho there would be a brief period of bumming, since it's akin to your first "legitimate" heartbreak, but I'd eventually get over it. There are weight and conceal-ability advantages that come with the G19, but Glocks are a dime-a-dozen, while KBI imported Jericho 941's are so rare they might as well be a novelty piece.

You guys helped me out before, so I'm hoping you can help me out again. And before you ask "Why don't you just sell one of your ARs or hunting rifles", it's because I legitimately hunt...quite frequently. Plus, I love my Daniel Defense and Colt (Police Issued) ARs haha.

Thanks in advance.

I would keep the Jericho, and just save up until I got enough to buy the G19. Selling it will only cause regret, it is after all a fine weapon and combat tupperware is everywhere. I personally would get a S&W M&P before I got a glock only because the FNP-9s are no longer made.

Keep it. There's no good reason to sell a gun. Now, how much do you want for it?...I've always wanted a Jericho.

You can afford to buy 13 rifles in the last year, many of them ARs?
Then you can afford to make several handgun purchases, and find out what you like.

If you later decide to sell a few, you probably won't get hurt too badly.

I realize that this makes little-to-no sense, but all those ARs were practically bought for me by my Ex-Marine Uncle who was ecstatic that my love for firearms rivaled his own.

The handguns were 100% purchased by me; no outside aid was received. There's a sentimental feeling I have when it comes to my Jericho that I just don't have with my ARs/Hunting Rifles.

No sell it to me 100.00 send me a pm to where I should send the check.
I would never even entertain an offer of $100 for a gun that's as reliable and accurate (not to mention hard to find) as my Jericho. If this were the mass-imported "Baby Eagle" or "Uzi Eagle" I would possibly consider it, but this is THE badass =Jericho 941= that you rarely find nowadays.

Thanks for the enthusiasm about my gun though :)

You probably don't want to hear what I want for it, since numerous friends of mine that are Rangers and Special Ops in the Marines say that they'd give me $800 for the Jericho; they hate the M9s and they've all shot my Jericho, with the consensus that "it's a f***ing beast."

If I end up liking the G19 (which is brand-new, NIB) after I take it to the range, I'll happily sell it to you for a decreased price if you were to want it still. :)

I was obviously leaning towards keeping the Jericho; it's been extremely reliable every time I take it to the range, and goes "boom" when I pull the trigger. The problem is, it's really hot down here in Florida now (mid 80's and only getting hotter), and the almost-3-pound-when-loaded Jericho in my holster drags my shorts down to my ankles.

I have been looking on Gunbroker for both the G19 (Gen4) and M&P9 that were NIB, but the only M&P9s I found were grossly overpriced, which pissed me off. The G19 I bought was reasonably priced at 580+shipping, so I opted to jump on it before someone else beat me to the punch.

Were it me, I'd just keep it. I have some major misgivings about a few of the firearms I've traded or sold over the years. And even after being offered an ungodly sum of cash for my Smith mod 66 2.5" bbl. I realized that piece could NEVER be replaced. Sure, I could buy another one like it, but it would never be the same. Even if it does spend most of the time in the safe. It's just an irreplaceable item in my life.

I'd undoubtedly feel like I just lost a friend if I opted to sell my Jericho, so I want to do as much as I can to avoid that from occurring.

You think I should keep the Glock when I get it, or just send it back when I go to inspect it at my FFL's shop?

You obviously really like the Jericho, like I feel about my S&W mod 10 3". Both are hard to find, and good guns are keepers for life, especially ones that you may not be able to find later in life (think import ban). You are just better off keeping it rather than selling it. Think of how insane the Colt Pythons are in price, now think of what you will have to pay for another 941 down the road. Better to keep it as a night stand gun or a safe queen for later in life.

You can also keep your shorts up by buying a better rig like a Milt-Sparks on a real carry belt. It may cost ya some coin but its money well spent, when ya carry and you cant even tell it.

I was told that waistband holster for Jerichos are almost impossible to find. Does Buds sell Milt-Sparks, or can I find it on Gunbroker?

My first handgun, purchased in 1987, was a Taurus M66. Pretty run-of-the-mill, and still being produced, but it was my first. I get sentimental with things (I still have the 4x4 pickup truck I bought also during that year!), so I still have it, ad would likely never get rid of it.
Of course, it would not fetch as much as your Jericho.

Trading in your history isn't something that feels good. If you could use the extra cash, I say that it'll all come out in the wash. I sold the first handgun I ever bought, but What I traded up for is my go-to firearm (traded an SR9c for SR1911), and has been a trusted sidearm. My first pistol's spirit lives on through the SR1911, and it wouldn't have been possible if not for the SR9c's contribution.

If you're having fun, then you're having fun. Everybody regrets some things. If it's something you can see yourself living with, then go ahead with it.

Which gun is more fun to shoot?
Answer that, and you probably have your answer.
(or even better, which one do you still have ammo for :D )

The SR1911 has been appealing to me since it came out; it looks beautiful, but I'm assuming it's a pain in the ass to conceal?

The Jericho is so much fun to shoot because, as good of a shot as I am, the gun makes it seem like I served in the SEALs for 10 years; the groupings at 25 yards are barely bigger than a quarter consistently. Hard to go wrong with polygonal barrel rifling, and I loved the gun ever since I was a child (I recall watching a show called Cowboy Bebop, and the main character used the exact same gun I have, the Jericho).

You're right with "it's a wash" too, now that I think about it: my Jericho could probably get, AT MOST, $500, and the Glock 19 cost $640 with shipping factored in. $140 isn't much, but if you consider that my Jericho saved my friend and I's life in an attempted armed robbery, I'd say it's earned it's stripes.

With a backstory like that, I might resist the urge to sell it. Plus, I don't think you'd get $500 for it. That's what it's worth, but since private sales have been outlawed (I'm still not sure if this is a National or State-by-state law), you'd be lucky to find a dealer to pay you $300 (and realistically, probably closer to $250). I don't think it's worth selling for that price tag.

If you can afford to keep the Glock when it comes in, then I think I'd accept it. This way you at least have something a bit more comfortable to carry during those hot and humid summers. And if, God forbid, you are involved in an incident, you still have the Jericho while you wait on the Glock to be returned. And after reading your last post, that part at the end would make it even harder for me to let her go.

DON'T SELL IT. I traded away my first handgun, a Bulgarian Makarov. I regret it to this day.

Oh yeah.

You can always get a custom made holster for your Jericho if you are so inclined. I's going to cost quite a bit more than an off the shelf type. But they are absolutely worth every penny. pm me and I can email a list of the holster makers I've found. or do a search here on THR. I remember seeing a list once, just never saved it to my favs.

The fine gentlemen on this site convinced me to keep rather than sell. The common phrase is "I regret every sale I made." I kept what I was going to sell, thinking that I can always decide to sell in the future, but once it's gone it's gone. If you have an ounce of doubt, just wait. I'm glad I did and now I have an extra gun.
