The reason I ask this question is; I'm curious what everybody's significant other wants.. Or what people think their SO wants..

I know a lot of my friends that want a Glock or HK or 1911 etc.. and projects that want onto their wife or SO. "My wife wants a 1911." Don't you mean _YOU_ want a 1911?

I'm saving up for something to get my gf later (when she becomes my wife) and I'm wondering if I'm following down the same rabbit hole as my friends..

So I thought I'd ask.

My wifes favorite gun was a S&W .357 blued 4"... K frame I think. She moved on to the Detonics .45 but the revolver did it for her.

I got my wife a .38 S&W revolver cause she loves the mechanical action of it. I got my girlfriend a Glock .40 cause she likes the power behind it!

My GF had a Colt .380 Government that didn't shoot well for her, she couldn't see the sights and it malfunctioned enough to be called unreliable. Soooo, I bought her a Ruger SP-101 and she loves it. She shoots it well and prefers .38+P loads.

Then I took her .380 and sent it out for new sights and a reliability package. It's back and what a difference. 'Course, I should have bought the gun off her and then sent it out, but it's her first gun, so I couldn't do that.
