I like it... it would be interesting to see a poster with various guns and the different laws around the country that have been proposed to ban those guns listed next to them.

"junk guns", .50 ban, semi-auto ban, handgun ban, "street sweeper" etc.

I'm thinking that might emphasize the point more clearly once people start getting an idea of what has already been proposed.

Most of the anti-gun gang claim they don't want to ban "sporting guns" or "hunting guns". In their world, that means single and double barrel shotguns, and that is IT! Note that John Kerry specifically exempted his own double barrel from the "evil gun" label. When he was presented a semi-auto shotgun, he hemmed and hawed and said it had to be transferred, but I heard he wouldn't touch it and had it destroyed.

And those are the "moderates". One now apparently defunct group, Citizens Against Guns, was not moderate at all. "We must", they proclaimed, "use the full power of the armed forces to hunt down and exterminate every person who ever owned a gun of any kind, and their families and descendants." (They claimed violence was due to "the violence gene" which manifested itself in a desire to own deadly weapons; naturally, "eliminating the violence gene from society" mean killing everyone who carried it.)
