Ok well I bought my 1st Hi Power. Bought it from a fellow on this board and I should have it in a few days. It has the wrap around rubber grips and I don't like the way they look.

Im thinking about these VZ Grips in Black, its the Chrome Hi Power with Gold Trigger so I'm thinking Black grips but was also thinking about the battleship gray:

They are now listed for $75.00 on there site but I could swear I was looking at them a few days ago and they were $70.00?...

I'm also checking out gungrips.net, maybe somethimg custom but I'm kinda diggin those Mirror Skull Grips  they are about halfway down the page - next to the punisher grips...

What do you guys think? Anyone have grips from gungrips.net?

Thanks

I love the Navridex grips offered by Brownells. They look and feel like beautiful wood, but have the durability of Micarta. Mine are checkered. They don't absorb oil, apparently don't scratch or chip easily, etc. If you don't like the traditional wood-look, you won't like these.

Here are the picks that the seller sent me, these are the grips coming on the gun that I'm going to replace. I do like those Navridex grips hummmm...

I don't want something with a wood-look to it, I want something modern that will really set it off but that will also be practical. I was pretty sure that I would go with those VZ grips but I'm going to look into the Navridex grips to.

Thanks

The hogue rubber finger grove grips are only $10-$15 and will last years and still look new and hi tech. The naverdix, g10,and other plastic grips are really made of made of hard nylon or delrin and are very hard and will last along time too. But they are usually $39-$60 and they can still be dinged up if you hit the gun hard against metal or a hard wood surface.

The alloy grips look cool but they are usually only anodized or painted and tend to scratch easy, unless you bought a silver clear anodized finish grips.

heres a link and picture of hogue rugger on a bhp

I ordered the Herrett grips from CDNN. Best priced checkered cocobolo grips I've seen. I've never happy with them. Very classy looking.

Come on, man! It's a Browning Hi-Power, show some respect. There should be a fine required for those putting "skull" grips (of any kind) or rubber finger groove grips on a Hi-Power.:)

Just kidding. It's your pistol do what you want.

Black would look good, but I think VZ's Black Desert Sand would also be a good choice.

Not some of my best photography, but you can get the point. Best $36 I've ever spent on grips are the Herrett grips from CDNN.

Besides the Herretts, I really like the look of the Navidrex grips in the White or Black micarta. Either of these would look very classy on a Chrome Hi-Power.

AlumaGrips are awesome and look great too. Pricey at $68+ but last a lifetime and then some. They also add nice balance the BHP too.

Double on the Alumigrips for the BHP. They offer a couple of colors and texture combinations. Mine are identical to the above photo. I like the grip feeling, plus they are a very slim style of grip.

If Alumagrips would offer a bigger variety of colors, I'd get a set for my HP too. But the color choices are pretty limited and I like my grips to contrast.

just like this....

VZ Grips for a working gun, Esmeralda's if you want it to look pretty. There are some other options worth looking at, as well, but I consider the above two the best options out there (been shooting HP's since I was old enough to buy a handgun).

Walt: Are the Navridex as THIN as Spegels or VZ grips.

I HAVE the CDNN Heretts, and they actually make the grip thicker than a CZ with woods.

Thanks.

I did the exact same and couldn't be happier. Granted, this is on a Charles Daly HP thus my reluctance to spend too much on fancy grips. They do dress up the CD HP quite well.

Herretts also dressed up my Kimber a bit too, for cheap.

I'm not a fan of skulls on my pistols, or anything else I own for that matter as it just wreaks of a 14-year-old drool-fest. Maybe I'm getting old, but that's just my opinion. To each his own. Congratulations on your Hipower and good luck in your grip hunt.
