Which holster for a Speed six?

If I make this purchase..I'll need a holster for a Ruger speed six 3".....do I get one for a k frame or l frame??Most places don't even list any of the 6 series.....thanks...

I use a Don Hume belt slide as my OWB holster, and it is made for the Ruger. For IWB, www.concealco.com lists the Ruger Six. I have one of these too and it is a very comfortable IWB rig.

Try www.rfholsters.com. You can order a Galco or Alessi holster for virtually any handgun, in either black or brown, or for a righty or lefty. It will be specifically for your Speed Six.

Just check the charts for a 3" K frame. Not enough difference between the "Six" frames and the K frame to matter. l

I use a Don Hume model 717 with the thumb break snap for my Speed-Six. This is a fine holster that seems to get even better with use. I think the price is around $40.

There are a lot of good holsters out there today. For my old Speed Six, I just phoned Milt Sparks (www.miltsparks.com) and they made a Summer Special II for me. It took about 7 weeks to get it. I've been known to slip a 3" M65 in this holster at times as well.

In the 10-25 dollar range an uncle mikes medium frame revolver rig will work.

In the 50 dollar range a galco or bianchi for a k frame will work.

Or you can go Milt Sparks, Kramer, Allesi, etc.

Just remember: you get what you pay for .

I've got some of each for my security six, all work, some better than others.
