Which is better, Burris Timberline or Short Mag?

I have a chance to buy a Burris 2-7 x 26 scope, either a Timberline or a Short Mag, at same price. Any comments on which is better? Thanks.

Short mag is for mounting on low short action rifles. Timberline are normal size scopes. Both are probably the same optics.

They are the same thing. The difference between them? The Short Mag was made in the USA, and the name is discontinued. The Timberline is a rebaged Short Mag that is made in The Phillipines.

Beware the short mag on standard or magnum length actions.

Often very little or no latitude on how far forward or back you can mount them for proper eye relief.
