I'd say the SKS as well. And it makes a difference with the felt recoil. My friend has a WASR10 and his has a healthy kick but I'd compare my Yugo SKS to the AR-15 on felt recoil. It's a great little shooter. Get ya one!
SKS is definitely heavier than a SAR-1 (stamped-receiver AK lookalike). The weight is also further forward, which makes the SKS rest a little heavier on your supporting arm than the SAR-1 does.
Depending on the manufacturer, both range from 8.0-9.5 pounds. The Chinese SKS is 8 lbs 8 oz and the Chinese AK-47 is 8 lbs 6 oz. The Russian AK-47 is a whopping 9 lbs 8 oz. while the Russian SKS is 8 lbs 8 oz.
