So finally getting a bonus check at work and am now working on my 9mm AR, starting with the barreled upper. But since I like to know what im doing ahead of time, im weighing my options on the lower parts, specifically, the LPK. Im leaning towards the Stag LPK based off good reviews, but any opinions would be appreciated. Also, it needs to have a rounded hammer to work with a ramped 9mm bolt. Thanks.

Palmetto State Amory (PSA) has LPKs. They have many different kits with/without FCG, with/without Magpul trigger guards, Magpul grips, etc. I have used 3 PSA LPKs in the last 1-1/2 year. They were all to spec and function as intended.

Spikes, Daniel Denfense, DPMS and RRA all have LPKs at differnt online sites. Stag should be fine as well. Sites to look for LPKs are: Aim Surplus, PSA, MidwayUSA (use promo codes) and maybe Primary Arms.

Or you can go all out and get one of the PSA LPKs with a Geissle trigger from the getgo.

I've bought three Stag LPKs from BCM and liked each one. Nice milspec triggers, too. Alas, only one had an unnotched hammer. I don't know if you can get someone to cherry pick the right one for you.

I've bought two Daniel Defense LPKs and both had unnotched hammers. Excellent kits as well but very hard to find these days. Most other kits will have notched hammers. You might try G&R Tactical, they make an excellent kit, mostly LMT. Maybe Rainier Arms too.

So since im using a DDLES 9mm lower for my build and have no need for a Magpul triggerguard, I settled on the PSA classic LPK gen. 2 with KNS gen. 2 mod. 2 hammer/trigger pins :)

Make sure you get a LPK with a 9mm compilable hammer. The DMPS ones are. Otherwise you can have serious issues down the road unless you modify the hammer or carrier. Look for a "ramped" carrier when getting upper parts.

+1 for PSA LPK. Great options, without trigger group, different grips, etc. One sitting right here in front of me in fact.

i have two complete lowers i built one with PSA's MOE kit and they other with Armalite. They are very simular, except PSA's MOE kit has MOE grip and trigger guard. They both have great tirggers, the PSA kit is slightly better, but its so close you have to pull one trigger and then the other right away to tell difference. Also the PSA was about 60% the cost of the armalite. I'll put PSA kits in my next AR build.
