Which mags?

Edit:

For a standard fit, 15 round Glock 19. The Glock 17/19X/45 and 47 17 rounders will fit but stick out, as will the extended ones up to 33 rounds.

Stay safe.

You might try using the mags that came with your gun. Even though they're the wrong caliber, sometimes they will work ok for range use.

Sometimes I put a 9mm conversion barrel in my Gen 3 G27. The factory .40 mags fees fine and hold two extra rounds of 9mm. But I would not use it for carry purposes because the top round can jump out from between the feed lips.

Glock 19 or 17 (mag will stick out at the bottom). I tried using the 40 mags and never had any luck with it. It may have just been my mags though.

I always did fine with OEM Glock .40
Mags for 9MM. Even used them for a training class when I grabbed the wrong mags for my G19. Not for carry but they worked fine for the range.

I have a g23 gen3. I also have a 9mm conversion barrel. Which 9mm glock mags will fit my 23?
I also have Gen3 Glock 23 and 40-9mm conversion barrel.

I use both factory Glock 17 magazines and Magpul 9mm magazines with reliable feeding.

New Glock 22/23 magazines with pristine mag followers and springs will mostly reliably feed 9mm rounds. Older G22/23 magazines with worn spring/mag followers will mostly feed 9mm rounds but may not reliably feed last 1-2 rounds as worn mag follower will not point the nose of 9mm round towards the chamber. If G22/23 magazine feed lips are damaged/spread apart, will likely not reliably feed 9mm rounds as feed lips won't hold the smaller 9mm rounds in the magazine.

I use Wolff extra power mag springs and new factory mag followers and these replacements will allow reliable feeding of 9mm rounds in older G22/23 magazines provided feed lips are not damaged/spread apart.

During the 1994-2004 AWB the only NEW magazines available were limited to 10 rounds. Of course, you could buy older pre-1994 mags by the truckload, albeit at scalper prices. This was only a problem with new guns that had been introduced shortly before or after the ban. I saw pre-ban G20 magazines sell for over $150 each.

Lots of guys who owned 9mm pistols would buy 10 round 40 S&W magazines and use them in their comparable 9mm pistols. As in using Beretta 96 mags in the 92, Glock 22 mags in Glock 17's Glock 23 mags in the Glock 19, and the same with Ruger and S&W.

It depended on the magazine, but most of them held around 14 rounds of 9mm instead of 10 rounds of 40 S&W. I used them quite a bit and never had a problem.
