The 3 included Magpul dummy rounds are nice for practicing double feed clearance drills at home.
It's a pain to install. You have to push the lever in, find the metal donut thing and pry the donut out with a small screwdriver then side it on. Just like a M4 stock in theory, but different due to the latch and friction clamp design.
uhmm... thats what the dummy rounds are for Zero
they work perfectly for putting it on and off.
I have the ACS. The Emod pulls my whiskers.
As far as comfort goes, whisker pulling has a tendancy to disrupt your concentration.
The other thing is, the ACS has a slot down south for attaching your sling, or a paracord loop, or etc, the Emod does not. Also the sling swivel point on the Emod is kinda right on top of the door for the little compartment which I dont like. The ACS sling swivel thingys are ambi and better placed. The ACS also allows you to use the extended buttpad, if you are shooting .458 socom that tends to help with recoil absorbtion, in my case I use a ACS + a extended buttpad for my 12 guage. The allows me plenty of spare batteries for the shotguns light.
However, the Emod holds more batteries. 3x AA or 4x 123 per side. the ACS only holds 2x aa or 3x 123.
6x 123 batteries goes a LONG way for my surefire tell you that much.
I carry 2x AA batteries for my red dot, and 3x CR123 batteries in the other side. I also carry the 22 cal boresnake in the storage compartment, and a spare bolt / firing pin in my miad grip core.
my AR officially has all its holes plugged with stuff.
I dig the ACS, I dont dig the Emod.
