On the 1st weekend in December - there is a gunshow in Pasadena called; Lone Star Gun and Knife Show

Then, on Dec 16.17, there is another gunshow put on by High Caliber.

Which is the better one?

Is the one this weekend in Conroe better that the Pasadena show?

Is the Conroe show smaller than the Pasadena one?

I was at a Pasadena show about 2 years ago (not sure which promoter it was, though)

I also like the high caliber show best, I think they have another big one on Dec. 30 at Brown Conv. Center in Houston also.

I've only been to the Conroe show twice in 10 years, both times I thought all the pricing was over the top so I don't bother with it any more. I think it was similar in size to the Pasadena show, they really pack them in at both places, kind of had to move around.

They are both pretty good. I think High Cal would get the edge for being a bit more focused, but the other (I think called the Real Gunshow in promos) has its points for being more non-gun spouse friendly. Meaning they have more non gun booths. I like and attend both.

Don't forget that the big daddy show for the Houston area is back in Jan. Jan 20 & 21, 2007 is the HCGA show at Reliant.

I'll probably end up at all three.

But I probably will not go to the High Cal at the Brown on New Years. The Parking was all screwed up at the one 2 weeks ago. It's a testament to gun owners in Houston that there were so many guns available to people with most likely one of the highest concentrations of CCW's in the Houston area and no one was ghosted. It was very frustrating and the $10 parking (which I refused to use :cuss: ) was about as outrageous as it gets. You gotta love "Stinkadena's" free parking.

ur right Arthur, that parking that was right in front of the building, they are tearing it out, to make parks and such. Must keep the Bums happy, you see! so we can seem more friendly, less hate filled, and more intermational!
but the george r is a very good show, the reliant is fine, but parking , for the way that place is designed, is about 1 county away.

If the "big three" DFW dealers (Bachman would make big four, but they've returned ) would attend the Pasadena High Caliber show I'd quit going to the GRB shows -- $7 to park was bad enough but now its about a mile hike from your car to boot (if you are lucky and get a "close" lot!).

The "Real Gun Show" tends to have more individual non-FFL tables and people walking around looking to sell along with much more non-gun crap.

Never made it to Conroe for the Lone Star shows, might have to check them out if they come to Pasadena, not having to pay to park makes it pretty painless to take a chance.

The Reliant HGCA shows are by far the best, but $8 to park and a hike that can be worse than GRB depending on what else is going on at the time.
