Which pistol to buy first 226x-5, S&W 952, or S&W 945

Just as the title says. Which pistol should I buy first ? 226x-5, S&W 952, or S&W 945? I plan on getting all three over the next few months.

Any of the harder to get ahold of over another?

Anyone with bad experiences or regrets with any of the three?

X-5 Tactical, Competition, or All Around.

Well if i'm not mistaken I think the X-5 is the most $$, so I'd tackle that one first, especially since Sig came reeeaaalll close to discontinuing those last year. Seems $2500 226's aren't all that popular to anyone other than competition folks; with the release of the Elite models of 226 and 229, along with the SAO 220R it might go by-by in favor of more approachable priced models. Then again S&W discontinues stuff overnight daily...especially if it's cool. I'm no help.

I would be getting the x-5 competition which is the same price as the other pistols. I just hope neither company stops making any of these in the next 6 months to 1 year

I own a 952 and 945. I was going to buy an X-5, but after handling it, I passed.

I wanted to like the Sig, but the wide frame just never felt comfortable to me. Too many years of shooting single stacks, I guess.

Rumor is the 952 long slide is being discontinued. If the 6" barrel is what you want, you may want ot start shopping for one soon.

If you shop around, you probably can get both the 945 and 952 for the price of the X5.

You may find that after you get used to the Smiths you wont want the X5.

2 for the price of the 2600 dollar x-five or two for the price of the 1500 dollar x-five.

The best price ive found for either of the S&W's are about 1400 bucks

There was a guy on GB last week selling two tone 945s for 1200 bucks. They are from a batch of special editions made a while back.

Beautiful guns.

Three weeks ago there was another guy selling all black ones for 1200 bucks.

They are around. You just have to look.

I bought a like new 952 for 1100 bucks a few months ago.

I own and shoot the Sig 229 Sport II SL, S&W 952PC and S&W 945PC. Personally I prefer the S&W's over the Sig line. Both of my S&W's are superbly accurate, extremely reliable and are backed up by superb S&W service should the need arise (a real contrast to Sig's infamous "customer disservice"). The only advantage of the Sig is the double stack mag in 9mm.
