Who carries an HK USP?

I've loaded Triton 450 SMC in my USP45F and it ate it like a pro. Of course, the rounds hit to the left of POA, but other than that it just kicked harder. I realized the velocity difference wasn't worth not being able to get back on target as fast, so I discontinued use.

I carry an HK USP45F Stainless. But, I carry it in a Safariland roll-top duty holster, so my experience doesn't relate. I have a Don Hume belt-slide holster for it, but I end up usually carrying my Kimber Pro CDP when off-duty.

I carry a USP .45c in either a Wild Bill's IWB, Mitch Rosen belt-slide or a Galco SSII shoulder rig. I've even used Thunderwear in the summer time when I'm wearing jogging shorts and a t-shirt.... but then I'll also usually switch to the USP 9c since its a little bit lighter.

On very rare occasions, I'll carry my UPS .45 full-size in a Wild Bill's belt-slide. Its a straight-drop type holster which makes it not so easy to draw from, but it does hold it in nice and close which makes it easy to conceal. I'm thinking about selling that holster and getting either an IWB or belt-slide that is canted to make the draw easier. Maybe a Dillon Master series or a Milt Sparks VM-2...? Haven't decided yet.

I do, I carry a full size USP-45 especially in the winter. Reason is that in ND when the temps are cold enough to wear gloves, the large DA trigger guard, especially when carried cocked and locked, makes getting a finger into the trigger not a problem. That's a big selling point to me up here. Besides, if it's cold enoguh to wear gloves, it's cold enough to wear a heavy jacket so the bulk of the USP isn't an issue.

I carry a USP 45C and shoot +p and a couple hundred Supers through it with no problems.

That type of damage inflicted on gggman's USP is definitely through case failure. And I must say :what:

Here's an update on my KB. I pulled apart a few of the rounds from that batch of ammo that ruined my USP, and they all have 8.3 grains of flake powder that has pink filler flakes in it. Red Dot? If it's Red Dot, the recommended max. charge for a 230gr FMJ is 5.1 grains. They are seriously overcharged. If I had any way to track down the SOB that sold me that ammo, he would owe me the price of a new USP.
Here's a link to a photo of that powder. Red Dot?
