Anyone know who does the warranty service for Chaparral Arms in the USA.
The rear site is no good on my new M1876. Everything else seems to be OK so far.

AWA USA
Current importer established during late 2004 and located in Hialeah, FL.
AWA USA purchased the remaining assets of American Western Arms, Inc. in late 2004, and became the importer of guns manufactured by AWA International, Inc. in Brescia, Italy.
At one time there was confusion over the warranty of some older Chapparral guns sold by CDNN that were made for Charles Daley by Chapparral Arms Europe which isn't the same outfit as Chapparal Arms USA.
What's wrong with the rear sight? If it's loose in the dovetail that can be fixed with a center punch. Might be better than going through the hassle of sending it in for repairs.
Yes it is the rear sight ladder slide(?) the part that you use to sight with wont stay in position. I was going to try talking them into just sending a new sight. I guess I could just try whacking the slide with a punch but I am kind afraid of getting it stuck in the position it is in. Kind of I spent money on a new gun and want it right even if it is just a little problem.
Understood completely. In your case I'd deal with customer service and get it fixed. I had a problem on a Uberti 1858 Remington with the loading lever latch coming out and I fixed that myself with a center punch and some loctite. It was easier than sending it to Cimarron Arms for repairs. But in your case, send it back and make them pay to fix it.
Their physical address is:
6735 W. Third St.
Dayton, Ohio
I have one of their 1887's that required parts and they were sent to me at no charge. I believe you will find them to be very willing to make any problem right.
I have had more than a LION's share of experience with Chapparal. I have had 15 or so 1876 rifles in the shop for repair and they have some inherent flaws/issues........the rear sight is one of them.
The Ukranian sights that Buffalo Arms carried were pretty nice and priced well but they seem to have dissappeared from the market
I know this seems steep but it is MILES better than the Chaparral factory sight: http://www.buffaloarms.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=164014&CAT=4077
FYI I went through this sight issue when Nick Ecker (Charter Arms) was doing their work and each time they "hand picked" me a sight worse than the previous one...............
