It was a gun-good Christmas for the Zombienerd Family :)

I got a new Ruger Super Blackhawk with 3 boxes of Ammo, the Wife got a new LCP with a few boxes of Ammo, and we got my Daughter a Pink Crickett .22 Rifle.

No gun this year. I treated myself to far too many during the year, though, so I don't feel like Santa overlooked me at all. :)

I did however get camo pants/shirts (2), rubber insulated camo boots, a sling for my mini-14, a camo vertical shoulder rig to carry either a 1911 or my Ruger 22/45 in the field with me, several very nice gun/hunting related books, and a nice camo thermos. Santa was paying attention when I mentioned that I only wanted gun/hunting stuff.

Dad got an SKS, little brother got a Remington Express 870 super magnum, Mom got her pink shotgun (thanks to Duracoat on a Maverick 20Ga). My hints to little bro went on deaf ears :( so I'm the only one who went away unarmed. It was a lot of fun watching the rest of the family though! Mom really loved her shotgun and the case that went with it.

I'm gonna be fighting

with myself all week over wether or not to buy myself a late Christmas/early Birthday gun. Cabelas has the best price,$899, on a Smith and Wesson 1911 ES until Thursday. I might just have to look at what I've got that hasn't been being used lately and find a partial trade.:D

Bought my first single action revolver......a Ruger 357 Blackhawk 50th Anniversary Edition. ....Great price too $359 from CDNN. Was delivered to my local FFL in 2 days.

They are also selling the the 44 Mag version for $369.

NIB 1967 Winchester 30-30 born 3 days before me. Still has the warranty card and wrapped in paper. Flawless. Also C&R so Santa brought it directly in his big brown sled. I haven't decided it I will keep it new forever or just use it to make it happy.

Desert Eagle 44 Mag. Used but LNIB. Complete with all accessories, manual, original documents and 2 additional OE clips.

yup, after a small ordeal outlined in another thread, I got this Uberti 1851 Richards Mason conversion in .38 Colt/Spl. Every time I handle/acquire one, I am more impressed with Uberti's craftmanship.

And the Girlfriend, much to my surprise and enjoyment, decided she wantd a shotgun for Christmas. So we found her a nice little Savage Fox B model 20 gauge SxS that we got for a great deal because the stock had been shortened too much for most people.

my brother and his wife, my mom and my wife and myself all pitched in and got my dad a XD40 then took him to the range yesterday and put a couple hundred rounds through it.

Wife2B did.

Ruger 10/22 to go with the MKII I gave her last summer.
Last Xmas, she got a .45 Marlin Camp Carbine and she gave me a S&W 617.
That chick rocks!

Actually, we both win.
See, she has guns that she likes and can shoot quite well and I get to keep all of mine.

MachIVshooter....

...nice Fox!!! those are very rare...and go for around $500...a regular length stock should be no problem to find....those are beauties!~!!
...I sold one this Christmas...my new 696...so that my 16-year-old could buy a new MilSpec Stainless Springfield...his heart's desire...I got a good deal both ways!!!

My daughter gave me gift certificates for the local fun store and by adding enough cash to cover the taxes I was able to pick up a Henry 001 .22 LR. My wife got me the Midway competion range bag and the tactial rifle case.

I got myself a S&W MP-15X as an early Christmas present :D

I got my Mom a Remington 870 Express Synthetic 20g with 2 round mag extension. I thought it would be a better gift than flowers or a Hickory Farms box after she told me the following story:

She lives in farm country in North Carolina, a couple hundred yards off the nearest paved road. Monday evening about 1030pm a guy drives up to her house, lights off. Wearing dark clothes and some sorta badge or ID around his neck he then knocks on her door claiming to be a cop on a 911 call and tried to get her to unlock her door. :uhoh: She's no fool so she didn't open the door and he didn't try to kick it in and and he drove away. A call to the local PD confirmed that there were no 911 calls in the area...

I had a DPMS AR-15 stripped lower, CMMG lower parts kits and a Command Arms finger-grip laying around so I added a Magpul but-stock, Magpul trigger guard, Blackhawk single point sling adapter and 7 thirty-round P-Mags and made a nice Christmas present for my young son who's home from basic training during the Christmas exodus.

The only thing I didn't have, which I thought I did was a carbine length tube and buffer. Ordered it from Brownells and should have it tomorrow. We put what we could of the lower together yesterday. It'll look pretty nice and be a nice start into EBR's for him.

We should be able to get out to the range and shoot it Tuesday with one of my uppers. He goes back to Basic on Sunday.
