I know there is a separate thread on components but that is mostly for primer, powders & bullets.

Anyone know of online suppliers who have brass?

beatledog7 Lots of private individuals have brass, many on here. Just post what you're looking for and see what happens.

Just 45 ACP & 9mm for now. Don't know of any ranges in Houston that allow picking up brass.

Your best bet is to check the trading subforum here and other places like the firing line, gunloads.com, etc. 9mm is easy, .45 isn't too hard either. Lots being sold all the time.

Can you please elaborate?
You are not allowed to pick up brass that others leave behind or are you not allowed to pick up your own brass that you have just shot?
I would be looking for another place to shoot.
The only guns I'd be shooting there would be rimfire, revolvers, and bolt actions.

Not allowed to pick up brass & that's why I only shoot on private land. If I knew of a range in Houston that allowed brass pickup I,d shoot there. As it stands now I have a lot more powder, primers & bullets than I do brass.

Look in our buy, sell and trade forum right here on the site and I have a feeling you'll find what you're looking for soon. The 9mm stuff is available most all the time. The .45 acp is a little more difficult to find, but if you check often, you'll get it.

I bought some Remington pistol brass from Midway online over the weekend. They have a limit of 5 100-round packs per order, but they had it in stock.

I shoot at Spring guns and ammo and never have an issue picking up brass. In fact you sweep your own area. Ive swept "wide" and dumped loads of brass in my bag right in front of multiple RO's with out issue. Alot of the times the buckets the brass goes into is left there unatended.

Speedster00 - thanks much! I'm sure there are a few more "brass friendly" ranges in Houston. Maybe I should start a Houston reloading thread so we can communicate on component availability, ranges, etc... for the Houston folks.

I've gone to bass pro before and walked out with a lot of brass. they have brooms there to sweep it all up into a pile and 5 gallon buckets to dump it in. I just swept my brass into a pile by the bucket, set my range back down and grabbed all my brass and a few handfuls out of the bucket.

I have a lot of brass and my folks went to houston last weekend. I could have sent you some. oh well.

I can see ranges not wanting you under other customers feet or downrange picking up brass, but if I brought it, and it can safely be picked up it's my brass, not theirs, and I don't care what they say.

Greyling22 - Thanks Much!! I'll take the boys to Bass Pro this weekend & let them compete for how much brass they can snag.
