Yes, just about all the higher quality scales are made by Ohaus. Most lab scales, industrial and postal scales too. My Dillon scale and lab scale are made by Ohaus. Good quality company!

My old Ohaus scale, a 10-10, was manufactured and sold by Ohaus, under their own name, until the distribution of that line was taken over by RCBS. I believe that the line of balances now marketed by RCBS is still manufactured by Ohaus.

Ohaus is an old and respected maker of balances and scales for industry and trade and makes many types.

They don't make scales for everybody, but they make great scales. If you're buying a beam balance scale, the Ohaus is the preferred scale. RCBS 1010's are one of their best scales made by Ohaus.

To jump into this conversation, yes Ohaus is an excellent company and make balances for the reloading companies that sell electronic and beam balances under their name such as Dillon and RCBS. However don't forget Pact, they also make a good and somewhat more inexpensive balance.

The RCBS (Ohaus) 510 and 505 scales are just fine.

BTW Ohaus also made (makes) powder measures. Ohaus and RCBS sold their Du-o-measure.
