As reloading becomes more popular it has become apparent to me that some folks at the usps need our components more than we do. I received a small flat rate package that was supposed to contain 16 lbs. of lead for my bullet casting (from a trusted source I have been buying from for some time). Upon receipt of this package I knew immediately that it was not the lead due to the weight. Instead I received a heart monitor made by ecardio lol. Lucky me. This package had a sticker on it that said it arrived at its second location missing it's contents and unsealed. So OK I get it sometimes a package comes open right. (not this suppliers packages). But anyways if it arrived without contents who in the world put that heart monitor in there lol. Just wondering how many have had issues with this. Thanks for any input. <br />

The USPS "if it fits it ships, up to 70 lbs" is a great deal for reloading bullet suppliers. Unfortunately the union rank and file can be pretty lazy and not want to handle "heavy" packages.

When they changed our carrier, I had hassles. Previous one was a small female, I just told her to leave me a note when the packages arrived and to bring it by the next Saturday and if she parked in my driveway I'd remove the packages from the truck for her. This worked great. Her replacement was lazy and incompetent (lots of other people's mail left in our box), had to escalate to the supervisor's boss to get my packages from Powder Valley and Missouri Bullets delivered -- they'd just not want to pick them up and would send them back undelivered. PV and MB also worked the problem form their end. Been fine since.

Isn't messing with mail a felony? Just because they work for the post office should not protect them from following the law. Returning a package for like that should be more than just firing, it should land you in legal trouble.

You think that's bad, try shipping a turntable sometime. It basically can't be done due to mailer incompetence; it'll be smashed to pieces, every time.

Yea I agree. I recently sent a digital scale to a fellow reloader. I checked it to make sure it still worked, double checked some weights to make sure of it's accuracy, wrapped it well in bubble wrap and popcorn padding, only to have it fail the first time the guy tries it.... IRRITATING!

I never use the postal service unless I have no other option, and have told many online vendors/suppliers just that, I have little use for them.

I bet that right about now, there is some big smug fat cat federal postal worker swimming in a kiddy pool with the 600 pennies he got from the scrap yard for your lead he intercepted and replaced with a heart monitor. lucky guy.
