"that's stupid. a two 2 gauge guns' recoil would leave you without arms. And about 20 feet back from where you were before you blew your arms off."

Yea, but think of the awesome firepower you'd have! ;)

If you happened to fall off of a cliff, you could shoot them straight down to stop your fall. ;)

I want to know more about these russian TOZs. Where can a price list be found at? Are they available here in the US? I'm wondering what they charge on their 4-bore, if it is economical like some of their models.

What you would have to do is contact one of Tula's US distributors, see what they could do, I only see 2 real issues here,

1. The ATF calling it a destructive device,

2. Finding Ammo,

I consider 2 the real problem as I have never seen a 4ga shell for sale I could see someone making them (for 20.00 a pop).
Sorry I forgot the Third issue,

Recoil, this might break something if you are not careful.

All things considered it would be an awesome range toy. :D

I still have 4bore shells reloaded, they are mainly Eley paper cases, although I have some Holland&Holland one's.To load with Bismuth is just over $40 each.To load a Punt Gun shell we are now looking at $90,but you need a loader you can trust with your life. Some loaders are now refusing to load anything bigger than a 8bore.

I think a 2 bore was genrally regarded as a punt gun.4 bores were also converted into punt guns.Try googling Colin Willock, for his hunting stories with a punt gun and the manufacture of said gun.
I would dread to think of what would happen when using a two bore as a shoulder gun, firing a 4 bore is enough for me.

If you absolutely had your heart set on shoulder-firing such punishing weapons, I should think that having a trained gunsmith (Sons of Guns) build a high-tech recoil system into the stock would be a must.

Commercial/Industrial the Remington 8 gauge might be but if you mount this baby on the bow of your Lund the yuppie in the glitter painted purple bass boat will move out of your honeyhole!

When we got tired of replacing the Remington 12 gauge guns we used to blow slag off the boiler walls, we went to a tripod-mounted 8 gauge industrial gun - the gun was NOT ours, it was "leased" and we bought the ammo from Winchester

It did a better job and the personnel were not beat up from firing the 12 gauge all day
