My google-fu is weak and I can't find any other gun makers who make a gun in 10mm other than glock eaa kimber and dan wesson surely some one else makes them.

No not very many.

You got the only non-1911's - Glock and Tanfoglio EAA

You got Dan Wesson

Colt makes a remake of the Delta Elite.

Vltor is supposed to produce a remake copy of the Dornus and Dixon Bren Ten - we are still waiting to actually see one.

Kimber did make some 1911's and so did Fusion?

Not many makers beyond the boutique 1911's. And some of those make them in batches.

Smith still makes the 610 in runs as well.

Colt and S&W both did make them but I'm not sure if either are currently in production of a 10mm

Not sure how many Dan Wesson still makes, if you go to CZ's website many of the 10mm models are marked discontinued 2010.

The RZ-10, RZ-10 Sportsmen, Commander Bobtail Classic, Pointman Seven, are all mentioned as discontinued.

Perhaps they will replace them?

Who did make them,

Dornus and Dixon Bren Ten
Colt Delta Elite and Double Eagle (Delta reintroduced recently)
Ruger Buckeye Blackhawk Dual cylinder .38-40 and 10mm
Smith and Wesson (1006,1066,1076,1026,1086,1046 and 610 Revolver)
LAR Grizzley Mark I
Springfield Omega
AMT (IMI) Javelina (6" and 7")
Star Megastar
Auto Ordnance 1911
STI Hunter
Wyoming Parker Arms
Thompson Contender made a barrel
American derringer
ZASTAVA Z10

I heard a rumor that S&W was going to start making them again, possibly their 10xx series. I would love it if someone could confirm that.

i have a s&w 1066 with the hogue rubber grips i bought it for $575 a couple of weekes ago. it shoots nice & i am verry happy with it. it has 1 4.25" barrel. you can also get the 1006 with a 5" barrel. i hope s&w comes out with these agin, even if it is only a limited run. they are built like tanks. i love this round.

That is a rumor that I have not heard nor seen on any of the 10mm boards (FWTW), the 10 series when it came out was not a big seller and it was not as popular as it is now. Smith did not even make that many, really, see letter. Once the FBI dropped the 1076 Smith's interest seemed to wane as did most makers of the 10mm.

I would think that unless they are going to adapt their 1911 or M&P line its unlikely that a reintroduction of the 3rd gen 10 series would be profitable enough for them except in small batches. Steel guns these days can be expensive to tool up for.

Snatch one of the Smith 10xx till they are reasonably priced ($600-700) like I did.
They are not going to stay at that price for long.

If you don't mind spending a lot there is the STI Perfect 10. Fusion has been mentioned, and I highly recommend them. I love mine, and they'll pretty much make it any way you want.

Just bought the Kimber eclipse in 10MM shoots as well as my clark custom Delta's, I also have a 1006, 1066, and 610 smith , Witness 10mm in the standard as well as match models and of couse a Glock 20 & 29, you could say THAT i AM A 10MM NUT. I feel that it is a great all around caliber, even just for plinking with light hand loads

10mm seems to be making a comeback in popularity among a small group of firearms enthusiasts that can understand and appreciate the caliber's niche. I've never shot a 10mm, but I can see it's purpose and I like the looks of it on paper.

A durable sub-compact with a 3-4" conventionally rifled barrel (to handle lots of lead loads) like the Springfield XD Subcompact chambered in 10mm and holding 8 or 9 rounds would be my ideal woods gun, and would possibly even replace my Ruger SP101. Come to think of it, Ruger would be a great candidate for a new 10mm. They seem to be coming out with a lot of new things consumers want, instead of just what they've been doing for years and years. A Ruger SR10 has a ring to it. As does Springfield XD10, Beretta PX4-Ten, and S&W M&P10. Are you listening gun manufacturers?

Glock seems to be the only company offering a polymer, subcompact 10mm, but the dang thing has polygonal rifling and a horribly-shaped grip (for my hands). I know certain companies offer drop-in replacement barrels with conventional rifling, but come on, someone else get in the 10mm game!

Didn't someone start a petition to Springfield to make an XD10? Where do I sign?

And therein is where the problem exists, "a small group" which those gun makers, so far, see not enough profit margin to produce a 10mm and no government contracts of any sort. Most big makers don't look at the onsies and twosies.

Glock stuck with the round and probably knows how many to produce to make a profit. Most of the 1911 companies have the 45ACP as the bread and butter and can make a few 10mm's to make profit.

I would love to have a CZ 75 variant in 10 mm (not a Witness). The newer round Witness slides have issues, reportedly. I'd also buy an XD variant in 10 mm.

As far as a smaller woods gun with a 4" barrel, the Glock 29 and smaller EAA Witness Compact might fit the bill. I don't like Glocks, in general, but they have two of the best offerings in 10 mm.

I would love to see 10 mm become more mainstream.

They've stopped making the Witnesses in the round slide configuration.

Although, I had one, and after about 1k rounds I didnt have any issues with cracks. That was all with doubletap ammo too.

What do a lot of people who want a 10mm want it for? I'm guessing woods protection from dangerous animals, or a backup for hunting. And what types of bullets are best for this? Hardcast heavy lead bullets loaded to very high pressures. The Glock's unsupported chamber and polygonal rifling make it less than ideal for these purposes.

When you factor in a grip that people either hate or just get along with, the Glock 29 is making itself really hard to like.

Colt recently made a run of Delta Elites.

Kimber makes a 10mm also, but most of those are single-shots.

These seem to be the wonderfinish slides.

If Glock had not kept the 10mm cheap and semi-popular and in production it might not be much of anything today. And plenty of people are quite fine with the grip angle of the Glock and not just getting along with it.

Ted Nugent took quite a few big game animals with his Glock 20

I really respect Glock for keeping the 10mm alive almost single-handedly by continuously offering the 20 and 29. It just sucks that the 29 is the only subcompact, polymer-framed handgun currently being offered by any manufacturer in 10mm. I don't like only having 1 single choice, variety is the spice of life.

Sure, plenty of people are quite fine with the Glock grip, but I think it's no secret that it's also the biggest complaint of people who don't like Glocks, by far.

Na, most people who want a 10mm want it for the same reason they want everything else, and this is plinking. Sure many dream of hunting with it, but I bet that less than 1 percent of G20's have ever even shot at an animal.

I have always been a 10mm nut. Started with my first one which was a S&W 1006. I currently have a G20, G29, and a S&W 610. Would really like to see a M&P 10. Would buy one in a heartbeat. Hopefully someday I can find a Colt or Fusion 10mm 1911.
