I am on the verge of purchasing a BP revolver from Cabellas this coming week. They have several types listed in their catalog and I'm thinking of going with one of the 44's. Can anyone tell me who manufactures them for Cabellas? Uberti? Pendersol? Cimmeron? Some small Chinese guy locked in a basement paying off his debt in return for passage to the US? Any ideas? Also, how do they hold up over time? Are you happy with them overall or do they shoot apart in a matter of weeks? Thanks....

The Cabela's store brand is either Uberti or Pietta. There's no way of being sure which as they buy in bulk based on bids, and they do not announce the contracts.

That's not always true - some models are only made by one company. If it's a Walker, it's gonna be Uberti. If it's a navy pattern in .44, it's gonna be Pietta, for example.

Most of all Cabelas C&B Revolvers are manufactured by Pietta with only a few models by Uberti "The Cattleman's .44 Caliber Carbine, Walker, & the 1862 Army Police .36 are Uberti while the rest is more than likely Pietta."

Ask when ordering and they will tell you .. only 2 I am sure about is the Walker is Uberti made .....and the 1858 Remingtons are Pietta made .

they say right on the barrel, mine says F.LLIPiette on the right side of the barrel(1858 Remington, from cabelas) had a sale on steel framed recently at 170$..... wish i had 170 to spare lol

My 58 New Army says Uberti under the ram rod. I doesn't appear to say it anywhere else. I didn't buy it at Cabela's but I think they sell the Pietta model.

I just shot mine for the first time today. They are pretty cool weapons.
