I've bought a DPMS sportical, and I want to put some iron sights on it. What are the best sights, most accurate, dependable etc... I found some cmg sights at sportsmansguide, they're cheap enough ,but I know nothing about them. I looked at Troy flip up sights, not cheap, but I've heard well made and align well. Any advice guys?

No advice at all? Hmmm? I realize that most people use red dot optics these days, but I want something I can beat around and not get off sight. I guess I'll do it the old fashion way, and buy and try till I find something!

Well Now, thanks for responding to my post. I have another question, my front sight will be mounted on the gas block rail. Should I avoid poly sights? I don't know how they hold up to heat?

If you want real durable open sights I would get a carry handle and front tower to mount on the rail, the others I have seen are fold down and seem to be more backup for failed optics that would be used in an emergency. I know I would not use the rear that I have as a primary.
NM Rancher kind of tells what you do and if that's the case I would get a couple 3/8 risers and mount a good 2x7 scope on it and be done, I have quite a few AR's and the one that is best all around for coyotes and such wears a 2x7 Leupold, simple and durable and gets knocked around plenty.
