So.. Just in case some of you wonder what "inanimate specific laws" will result in..

So.. Slew of easy to modify gun parts go on sale in Taiwan (due to the attempted assassination on the Prez, the news exposed how easy it was to make real guns from airsofts.. and internet sales explode..)

So tougher gun laws (as if they aren't tough enough already)... makes poorer criminals choose a cleaver (very common in Taiwan) as the weapon of choice.. (or as the hot season comes around, the 24" watermelon knife is always a criminal favorite)

So tougher cleaver and knife laws results in::

The latest and greatest weapon of choice.. A hot iron. Yes, I mean what you use to get the wrinkles out of your clothes..

Because there are classifications of "deadly weapons" and a hot iron is not listed..

In the past two weeks, quite a few cases (with more to come as copy cat criminals spring up) of assault with a hot iron. One woman, who slept with someone's husband, got the hot end of the wife's iron. 3rd degree burns over 90% of her body. I'm waiting for someone to rob a 7-11 with a hot iron, don't worry, just wait, it will happen.

This is what happens when laws are enacted against inanimate objects; people simply switch objects. I would love for them to put the blame where it's due, on the PEOPLE committing the crimes, not the objects in which they use. :banghead:

Just watch they will end up requiring a permit for irons, and kitchen knives!! That is so crazy.
