Who Sells Flat Base 44 Cast Bullets

Your true Keith bullets will have a plain base and probably be the most affordable. Most plain based cast bullets for the .44 will be more expensive LBT styles.

Yeppers!

The way I understand it, most all the commercial casters use Magma Engineering auto-casting machines and molds.
Most use bevel-base molds so the bullets will fall out of them easier.

Real flat base Keith bullets, with real sharp-edge driving bands, almost have to be hand cast in regular bullet molds, 2 to 6 at a time, so they necessarily cost more to make them.

100% correct! I actually have a casting business specializing in Keith style bullets (BlackRiverBullet.com). The Keith style are harder to cast because of the straight sharp edges, and they are more pricey.

I've pretty much given up casting though. For 1.5 years no one could get components and the business suffered. Now try to find affordable lead, there is none. I had a scrap yard offer me wheel weights at $1.25 per lb. About 1/3 of the weights are zinc anymore plus the steel that holds the weight on the rim cuts down the amount of useable lead. The good lead was over $2 a lb if I wanted large quantities. Going to a foundry is over $3 a lb. It's hard to be profitable at these prices.

The Keith bullets are the best choice for target and hunting. I used to sell a 270 gr .45 cal bullet that I couldn't make enough of from about September through March.

Anymore I make enough for myself and a few good customers I acquired over the years.
