There were no bumps/scrapes/impacts against my rifle that could be noticed. How the 1" x 2" chunk somehow came off the tang today is bizarre (no bumps/scrapes etc). This stock is much harder than Chinese choa, and looked brand-new, very light brown.

Anyway, none of the replacement stocks sold by retailers appear to have the thumbhole. And if they do, it seems unlikely that walnut is avail, instead of much softer choa wood (did Not like soft wood on my Chinese SKS).

Let's not wast time on 922r, please. Am well-versed with it.
The only reason I want another thumbhole stock for the straight-cut 90 receiver is to avoid work with which I'm totally unfamilar.

Ironwood etc does Not display any thumbholes.

Mak 90 stocks are often available on arfcom, akforum and akfiles. They go cheap. One can also use the choate dragnov stock or a romanian thumbhole stock.

If you really want one I am pretty sure I have one laying around. It has one minor scuff on the right side of the comb. PM me and I'll send it your way.

Found the missing piece at the club!:)
It was on the ground between the vertical support post (I leaned against) and the rear bench where the gun case had been.
Can not understand how it came off with no impacts/scrapes against the wood, nor any visible cracks. Bizarre.

Anyway, the missing wedge fits perfectly. Must decide which type of Glue to use (?), though the piece must be watched in the long-term.

Dr. Rob: If by chance there are more problems I'll send you a note.

Thanks for you guys' (or any gals') advice.
