I'm not picky, I would like to shoot with anyone who has thier own gun, ammo and follows the safety rules. The more the merrier. :)

to the op this is a great queston & im glad you asked it. for me it would be my best friend joe growing up. he & his dad always went shooting & invited me along a few times. his dad had this perfect 1911, because he was a tool & die maker & reworked it. to this day it is the finest 1911 i have ever shot. i haven't seen him since before i left for the usaf in 1989.

1. Barack Obama

2. Nancy Pelosi

3. Billary Clinton

Attention to detail friend, he stated WITH not AT....

:neener:

1. TGO
- For his expertise in operating the 1911.

2. Jelly Bryce
- For his expertise in engaging targets using modified / instinctual aiming techniques.

3. Elmer Keith
- For his expertise in engaging targets with a hand gun, beyond the effective range of most rifle shooters, and for being able to have an awesome BBQ after the event with what we bag!

I would love to go with my dad and my oldest daughter and son. My Dad died 04/2000 and our oldest was 1 1/2. I think he would love to see how she's not only grown up but how well she shoots. My son because of the male tradition of shooting being passed down and I want him to meet his grandson.

I've got a WWII vet at church who is dying of cancer. He wept when I took my Garand to his house after I received it. He and I planned numerous shooting outings but he's just not up to it. I wish I could take him to shoot.

As far as "famous" folks:

Skeeter Skelton
any Texas Ranger
Todd Jarrett
the good staff of Missouri Bullet Company!

Q

I would have to say:

1) my grandfather who passed away when I was in high school.
2) my 19 month old son when he is old enough to shoot.
3) John Wayne
4) Wyatt Earp
5) Zane Grey - I loved his books and would have loved to have hunted with him.
6) James Butler Hickock
7) Audie Murphy
8) Jimmie Stewart

My son, my Dad, but that's it. Most any other person I've met or seen at a range has some sort of bad habit, has to tell you with XXX brand is better than YYY brand, or why my Russian ammo supports communism (yeah...OK) and I've just never run across anyone at a range that I care to spend any time with. Counting the number of times people have drawn on me or muzzle swept me to "show me their gun". Not that great people aren't out there, I'm sure I'll find one some day, but I've never seen anyone on TV. Well maybe the Gunny, or Clint Eastwood, now that I think about it a bit more.

I can't remember his name, but he's always on the marksmanship shows, an older guy who shoots for Benelli.

That's Tom Knapp if my memory is correct. He would make my list too.

Keith (I love the heavy stuff)
O'conner
Bob Hagel
Michael Waddell - Just because he's a redneck country boy like the rest of us

Funny you should mention Ghandi. He said this:

"Among the many misdeeds of the British rule in India, history will look upon the Act depriving a whole nation of arms as the blackest."

Even the Dalai Lama has expressed misgivings about allowing the slaughter of the Forbidden City because of a non-violent stance.
