I must be nuts but I kinda went crazy.
Bought two .22 semi-autos at the gunshow this weekend. Couldn't make up my mind so I bought both. Marlin 60 and Ruger 10/22. Went from having no 22 rifle to having 2 of the best. Bought them from the same guy and got both for less than $500. I am going to get a box or two of every kind of good .22 ammo and carefully and methodically try them all out and record how the different ammo works in each before I stock up in earnest.
I need some resources on how to clean and lube these guys. I am used to rifles and pistols that are made to field-strip easily (Glocks, Mausers, Moisins, M&Ps, etc).
I have a .22 boresnake so the barrel is covered.
How do you all care for these and keep them running well...lube- and cleaning-wise?
