Who's got a shotgun for HD?

Alright, shameless plug for a school I liked and a class I'm going to take this year. Tactical Defense Institute has a two day shotgun class that covers the basics of using one in a "shootin' folks, not fowl" situation.

Not me. I don't have an HD shotgun. I have a PC shotgun.

PC stands for Predator Control -- the four and two-legged variety.

I have always felt that even if you don't particulary enjoy shotguns, an 18" pump-action and a few hundred 00 buck shells put away is one of the most useful-in-many-bad-situations things you could ever own.

I just picked up the Mossberg 500 Cruiser in .410 for HD. Sadly, there are no training courses anywhere around here for me to take, and very little places to actually even shoot a shotgun.

Only state with more places to shoot {any kind of gun} is Nevada.

Newshooter, take 1-3.

If you're planning on taking in levels 1 and 2, stick around for level three. It's a day of killing plate racks in timed drills (much fun) and putting into practice the cornering and structure clearing drills you are going to learn in the first two levels. It's not going to make a ninja out of you, but it will put you WAY ahead of most people and just about every schmuck who may come into your house.

It will cost you a Sunday, 150 dollars and another 600 rounds. I took handgun 1-3 last year and really enjoyed it. Some of it is review for an experienced handgunner, much of it is good new learning. Not a gun "shooting" class, but a gunfighting class.

Remington 870 Express, set-up for my daughter's HD -

The Knoxx SpecOps is for reducing recoil on my daughter's shoulder. It also has a Limbsaver pad to further reduce recoil impulse. Remington factory 18-1/2" barrel installed and factory synthetic forend to match the look of the SpecOps. (My daughter LOVES this shotgun!!!)

i have a mossberg pump 12ga loaded with 2.75 " buckshot. 8 shells. ....my mossberg is my go to firearm when i hear the glass breaking in a window downstairs.

i have a remington 870 for hd, and after my last trip out to the farm where i did some night fire, i am very impressed with it, and have problems using it to protect my home and family!

why don't you take the level 1-3 class? which is a three day class, 1800rd minimum and three days of good trainning you can't beat that!

870 HD 18" 7+1 by my bed. Number 6 shot because I live in a small apartment and it patterns well. I have a "rambo-style" bandoleer w/ 30 rounds of variouis other shells hanging on my headboard for SHTF or zombies.

1911 guy,, i took a couple of pistol classes with those guys a few years back,, well more like about 10-12 years ago,,, good group of guys,,, good instruction,,, oh yeh,,, i got a few HD shotguns sitting around the house,, cause you never know where you are going to be( in the house ) no kids... just me and mama,,,, man she can work that 1100 over too just my .02 YMMV
