I've noticed all these new threads creating 'clubs' on the different boards. I just keep wondering...WHY? Is it a natural evolution of the forum? Is it something other forums are doing? Is it a good idea to have them here? Are they really needed? Are these clubs really necessary?
What is the reason behind having 'clubs' on THR? Am I missing something??? :scrutiny:

I've wondered the same thing. Here on THR, they are not an official part of the site, being a "member" doesn't mean much except that you (maybe) own that kind of gun, and they aren't going to grow into separate forums or anything like that.

No real point, but I figure it's just a nice way for folks to find common ground, and a good excuse to share pictures of favorite guns.

I've noticed all these new threads creating 'clubs' on the different boards. not so much clubs as threads I just keep wondering...WHY? No clue Is it a natural evolution of the forum? hope not Is it something other forums are doing? Yeah, other non manufacturer specific forums Is it a good idea to have them here? not unless i've missed something Are they really needed? Are these clubs really necessary? not as far as I can see.
What is the reason behind having 'clubs' on THR? it's a way for them to express their firearm of choice on a non firearm specific forum Am I missing something??? yeah. that they'll eventually realize multi level "club" discussions have no life on a single linear thread, and they'll die. but it might get worse before it gets better (copycat thread "clubs" lol

No real attempt to answer the OP's question since post #4. Snippy rudeness. Abrasive attempt at divisiveness -- oddly cloaked within a complaint that people getting together to compare guns were trying to divide us! Oh ye gods and little fishes...

Guess this one is done.
