From the Heart
Seriously, I believe that the "bad" percentage is equal in ALL occupations. It is not a good/bad cop, it is a good/bad everything. There are good/bad teachers, preachers, police, ambulance drivers, bus drivers, cooks, electricians, plumbers, etc. There is a reason for this. We live in a social system. Our social system has certain universal values. Most adhere to the values (norms)…the good. Some do not…the bad. We pull employees from the social system. Ergo, the bad is not in the occupation, it is in our society. Come up with a better interview tool to isolate the bad, and you’ll come up with better employees…in ALL occupations. I don't intend to bash specifically police, I intend to bash the bad whatever the occupation.
