Why are people dumping their Springfield XDS

DT,
I was quoting the post above mine by "George Burns". I happen to agree with you.

Maybe the next generation of XDS will come with a crisp, smoother trigger. I agree that for a CCW the trigger is not the most important thing, never the less, nobody wants a 9 lb trigger (measured with a scale) if a 5 lb is more than sufficient.

If you have an XDs with a trigger weight that measures 9 lbs, it is out of spec, and Springfield will repair it for you free of charge, including shipping.

I belong to dozens of BST facebook groups, and there's always plenty of XDS' listed.

I have three friends with pre recall units that have had the recall preformed and they all still love theirs. I really like the feel and why these guys shoot, I played with a 4" version a few weeks ago and really liked the way it handled.

IMHO in 45, this is a little too much pistol for some of the owners. Or maybe like myself they just don't care for the grip safety???
45, too much. That's absurd to even think. The 45 has about the same felt recoil as a 9mm.

I will agree that having a grip safety is pure dumb.

Why the hate for the grip safety?

Necessary...probably not but in my experience it has never once been obtrusive or in the way when gripping the pistol.

The problem with the Springfield is that it's not a revolver. I mean if I only have six shots, I want them all to go off.
