Barrels flashing, your CM barrel shoots great, on and on, etc. The thing is that OVERALL the stainless barrel is said to be more accurate. I just read it, I don't explain why. But it is also said that CM and chrome lined barrels can also be very accurate... a CM barrel could be the most accurate barrel in the world. But what are the chances you'll get a bad one... probably a lot more than with a match stainless. So do you want to buy barrels by trial and error just because you know someone who has a CM tack driver? Are you going to turn down a Noveske because it's silver and your buddy's black CM shoots good? Maybe yes, it's your dime.
The CM wears faster and the chrome lining can't be assured consistent thickness. But hunters don't always need such terrific accuracy, especially with an AR. Military and police need durability and dependability much more than accuracy. Target and varmint shooters want accuracy most of all. So they all buy the barrel that suits them best. Some of those silver barrels cost more than the rifle they're screwed into, but folks keep buying them. There must be a reason.
There is nothing to argue about, we only need to throw the information out there and let each person decide. If you fear a silver barrel will spook your deer, buy a black one... problem solved.
