Why Do So Many Of Us Point Our Loaded Gun At Our Loved Ones?

I have.

Think of it this way, when you carry a rifle or shotgun around in a case, do you consider that you're sweeping hundreds of people with the muzzle?

If it's in my car trunk, not so much. But if I'm carrying it, I keep it pointed in a safe direction

No. Good gosh, that's just silly, it's cased. And unloaded, or at least unchambered.

Have you ever stopped to consider that, when you use a IWB or OWB holster, you are pointing a loaded gun at our sweet Mother Earth?.....

As I'm at home at the present my carry pistol is in its place on the bookshelf. Pointed directly at the neighbor's house.

Personally, i vote paranoid. However, if it is that much of an issue for you, change your holstering choice. There are plenty of good options.
