Why Do YOU Hunt?

The best response I've seen to this is:
" I hunt, not to kill but in order not to be playing golf."

I used to enjoy hunting[- some deer but primarily small game and varmints. In the last couple of decades, Texas hunting has pretty much turned into a canned, high fence affair and the small game has either gone missing entirely or moved to town. I don't care for it any more.

Personally, I like all the natural wildlife on my property. The reason I hunt is help keep in check the local feral hog population. As a side benefit, I get to check out the various types of tissue damage that occurs from various calibers, loads, and distances...which I find very interesting.

Try wild boar hunting, you might get over your sympathy pangs when you see a 250lbs screaming boar rushing at you from the underbrush.

I thought about this, and I'm sure it would be interesting when the Hunter becomes the Hunted and there would not be any sympathy. Anyway, are there any type of "angry" game in the midwest?
At my place, (Northeast Wisconsin), Theres tons of deer, some bear, and very rarely a bobcat or two. The only one I could see killing would be the Bobcat, cause the bear lisence takes 10 years to get, I heard.

I hunt because as a human I'm a meat eating preditor; it's my nature and I like it.

Golf is boring. So are bars. Not so the woods.

i like to eat stuff that isint avaiable in stores i usualy just do phesants hopefully i will get a deer this year i havent had the time to go ever and i really want to
